Windward School – Female Athlete of the Year, Basketball - 2018

Sela Kay had a great senior year at Windward School in West Los Angeles. She is an outstanding all-around athlete, who excelled in both basketball and track & field (her events included the hurdles, long jump, and triple jump), while doing well in the classroom.

Kay starred in basketball for Coach Vanessa Nygaard. In her career, Kay was the Windward starting point guard for two straight California State Title teams – winning the Division II title in 2017 and the Division I title in 2018. She played her best basketball in the playoff s. In one game in her career, Kay had a perfect 18 for 18 from the free-throw line. After basketball, Kay competed for the Windward track & field team, qualifying for CIF's. Kay has accepted a college basketball scholarship to Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Massachusetts for the fall.
