Maccabee Award- 1991

For many years, Shelly Sidlow has been an active force in the Southern California Jewish sports community.

He has been an Executive Board Member of the Los Angeles Maccabee Club, a Director of the United States Committee Sports for Israel, Executive Board Member of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, and State of California coordinator for the United States gold medal winning fast-pitch softball teams of the 12th and 13th World Maccabiah Games. Sidlow has also been a key member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Delegation to the North American Maccabi Youth Games.

"Shelly" was born in Chicago, but has lived in the Los Angeles area since the mid-l940s.
